Amarillo Lobbies Opening

3-8-2021

Santa Fe Federal Credit Union Members,

The past year has been rough for many and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigated the unprecedented virus that rocked the world. While COVID-19 is far from gone, we remain hopeful that we are nearing the end of this pandemic.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has lifted COVID-19 restrictions and ended the mask mandate. Beginning March 10th, our Amarillo lobbies will resume normal operating procedures and will be open and unlocked for the foreseeable future.

To quote Governor Abbott, “Removing state mask mandates does not end personal responsibility.” We still ask that you maintain social distancing standards when entering our lobbies, utilize our drive-up and online banking whenever possible, and do not enter our lobbies if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to COVID-19. We will continue our rigorous cleaning schedule and keep our stations sanitized to protect our members and employees.

Our Albuquerque office will continue to operate under the New Mexico COVID-19 restrictions until new guidelines are given from the governor.

Thank you for your membership and understanding. I hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Steven Adee
President & CEO

Restricted Lobby Access

11-4-2020

Santa Fe Federal Credit Union Members,

Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Potter and Randall Counties, Santa Fe FCU will be restricting access to the lobbies at both the Harrison and Hillside locations beginning Thursday, November 5th.

We will be reverting to how we operated at the beginning of the pandemic. Members may gain access to the building by calling the phone number located on the outside of each building. Please pull up to the building and call the posted number, then stay in your car until a staff member comes to get you. Masks will be required for anyone entering the building.

During this time, we encourage you to utilize our alternative channels to meet your banking needs. The drive-ups at both branches will be open and able to handle everything that would traditionally be done in the lobby. Our mobile app and online banking are available 24/7, and staff will be available by phone during our normal business hours. We are also able to sign loan documents, account cards, and process most forms via email.

We will do everything we can to serve you, while also protecting our staff and members during this trying time.

Hoping you all stay safe and healthy,

Notice to Members Regarding COVID-19 and Inclement Weather

October 26th, 2020

Recently, Santa Fe Federal Credit Union has had some employees at the Harrison branch in Amarillo test positive for COVID-19. We are in the process of cleaning the office and working through the various quarantined staff.  In an effort to limit exposure and protect our members, we have decided to TEMPORARILY close the Harrison location.  Amarillo health department has raised the COVID-19 threat level to RED. In response we have decided to make some operational adjustments with regard to our staff.  In Amarillo we will be operating out of the Hillside only until we can ensure the safety of our members and staff. The Albuquerque location will continue to operate as it has during the pandemic.  Santa Fe FCU will continue to follow State and local guidelines as they are made available.  Please continue to follow Santa Fe FCU on our website (www.santafefcu.com), Facebook and other social media platforms.

As we head in to the winter and with the impending winter storm that is approaching, and an expected 14 inches of snowfall, I would like to remind our membership that Santa Fe FCU will be following the local school district in regard to closing due to weather.  We will be posting all closings on our website and on social media.  Santa Fe FCU will continue to remain open to process all electronic transactions, but lobbies and drive-ups may be affected. All closings will be branch specific.  So unless there is a weather event that affects both Amarillo and Albuquerque there should be a branch open to assist you with your immediate needs.

Please remember that you can still have access to your accounts through our mobile and online banking platforms. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these trying times. Stay safe.

Getting Back to Normal

6-25-2020

Santa Fe Federal Credit Union Members,

We are happy to be getting back to some normalcy in our operation and across the country. Businesses are opening, people are going back to work, and our lives are slowly getting back to a regular routine. We know that this virus is still very real, and we are closely monitoring new COVID-19 cases to ensure the safety of our members and employees. Our lobbies will remain open but locked at this time so we can continue to monitor the number of members entering the credit union and save you time inside. Phone numbers are posted outside each branch so members can call and wait in their car for a Santa Fe FCU representative to let them in.

Since March 19th, the credit union has waived loan late fees, skip payment fees, and Card Pay fees. We will be reverting to our normal fee schedule beginning July 1st. We are still here to help you however possible and we encourage you to speak with your loan officer if you are having trouble making your loan payments.

We are still able to sign loan applications, documents, and account cards via electronic signature and will continue to do most of our business over the phone, in the drive-up, and through virtual channels. Thank you for your membership and we appreciate your patience as we navigate this strange and uncertain time.

Hoping you all stay safe and healthy,

Steven Adee,
President & CEO

Withdrawals From Savings Accounts Will Temporarily NOT be Limited to Six Per Month

4/27/20

We are happy to announce that the Federal Reserve has suspended the Regulation D convenient transaction limits. Previously, Regulation D limited the number of transactions (transfers and withdrawals) you could complete from a savings or other non-transactional account via phone or online banking to six per month. To better help people comply with social distancing policies, there will be no limit on how many transfers you can do from your savings account for the foreseeable future.

This change should make it easier on our members to do their banking at home, without having to worry about reaching the transaction limits. We are unsure how long this temporary suspension will last, but we will keep you updated when we get more information.

Credit Union Update

New Hours Effective April 2nd

3/31/20

Santa Fe Federal Credit Union Family,

The situation that we are dealing with is ever-changing, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to do what is best for our members and employees. Both the state of New Mexico and the City of Amarillo are now officially under Shelter-In-Place orders and have listed financial institutions as essential businesses that will remain open.

In order to maintain the strict social distancing requirements set forth by state and local governments, we are reducing the amount of staff in each branch at one time. To maintain these changes and serve our membership to the best of our ability, we will also be changing our hours of operation. Effective April 2nd, our hours will be a follows:

Amarillo Branches: (Drive-Up and Phone ONLY)

  • Monday – Thursday: 10:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Friday: 10:00AM – 6:00PM

Albuquerque Branch: (Drive-Up and Phone ONLY)

  • Monday – Friday: 9:00AM – 5:00PM

We will continue to operate via drive-up, over the phone, and online for the foreseeable future. The lobbies will remain closed. Our staff has worked diligently to make sure that we can meet your needs through these alternative channels, and we hope you take advantage of them.  We miss seeing our members’ faces, but our number one priority right now is to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can. We will update you as more information becomes available.

Praying you all stay safe and healthy,

Steven Adee
President & CEO

Credit Union Update

3/23/20

Santa Fe Federal Credit Union Albuquerque Members,

In regard to Governor Grisham’s statewide stay-at-home instructions,  and in an effort to continue to provide service to our Albuquerque membership and also limiting our staff exposure,  beginning tomorrow, March 24, 2020 the Albuquerque office will be reducing our hours to 9-5 PM, with possible adjustments later this week.  Every day seems to present new challenges in the operation of Santa Fe FCU.  I want to assure each of our members in Albuquerque that we have every intention to remain open and to give you access to any of your financial needs.  I would like to also encourage you to take advantage of our digital channels, Mobile and Home banking.  If you require assistance in setting up your online access please call the credit union.  Please continue to limit your exposure and protect your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Steven Adee
President & CEO

Credit Union Update

3/20/20

To better serve our members during this time, we have temporarily made changes to our Remote Deposit service on our mobile app. This includes raising the check deposit limit to $2,500. If you have not used our Remote Deposit function on our app, we highly encourage you to do so. It is the easiest way to deposit a check, you don't even have to leave your house!

Amarillo Lobbies Open by Appointment Only

3/19/20

First and foremost, I want you to know that we are here for you. Our staff has been working diligently to put plans in place to take care of all of your financial needs. We will not be closing and are striving to take care of every member as efficiently as possible.

That being said, we owe it to our members and our staff to protect them in whatever way we can. Our state and local governments have recommended businesses do their part to promote social distancing and utilize as many virtual channels as possible. Starting March 23rd, our Amarillo lobbies will be open by appointment only. Our Albuquerque branch has operated via drive-up and phone only this past week and will continue to do so. Our credit union will still be fully staffed and ready to handle your financial business over the phone and through the drive-up. You also have the ability to perform most transactions through our online banking and mobile app. As an added measure, we are happy to announce that we now have the ability to use e-signature to sign loan documents virtually. This means that we can process a loan from start to finish, without you having to step foot inside the credit union. If you have any questions about how to do something online or accomplish a financial task without coming inside the credit union, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

I realize that this is a time of uncertainty for many of you, and we are prepared to offer assistance to members experiencing financial hardship. We have put plans in place to help, including waiving loan late fees, loan skip payment fees, and offering a special loan to help supplement missed income. If you feel that you will be behind on your loan because of this pandemic, I encourage you to get in contact with your loan officer as soon as you can.

This is a trying time in our country, and we are here to help as much as possible. We will all get through this together. Thank you for your membership and thank you for your time today, I pray that you and your family stay safe and healthy. We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

Sincerely,

Steven Adee
President & CEO

Drive-Up Only March 16th - April 3rd

March 13th, 2019

Our Albuquerque branch will be open through the drive-up only. This decision has been based on the closing of all New Mexico Public schools for the next three weeks to prevent possible spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the CDC’s recommendation to promote social distancing.

We are taking all measures to ensure that you can still take care of your financial needs. All Albuquerque staff will be standing by to answer phones, handle financial transactions, and take care of your lending needs.

Allows you to:

  • Transfer money between accounts
  • Send money to other financial institutions

  • Make loan payments from other financial institutions
  • Deposit checks through our Mobile App

If you are not currently signed up for online banking, we encourage you to sign up through our website. Read instructions on Online Banking Enrollment. If you are unable to login, please give us a call at 505-345-6450 and we would be happy to assist you.

Drive-Up

Through the drive-up, you will now be able to:

  • Sign loan documents
  • Sign account cards
  • Order debit cards
