Why worry about how to make your payments when there are so many options you have as a member of Santa Fe FCU. Below is an overview of our payment method(s) offered at Santa Fe FCU.

Online Loan Pay

Looking to make life a bit easier? No more stamps, slow mail, late fees, check-writing, or forgetting to record loan payments. Now you can use funds from another financial institution to make your loan payment with us online. You can draft payments 2 ways of using this service.

  • eCheck - Using your routing number and account number, normally found on the bottom of a check. This will allow us to draft using ACH (eCheck), your other Financial Institution for this payment. There is no fee for this payment option, it can take up to 48 hours to draft the other Financial Institution. Returned Check fees still apply.
  • Debit Card - Using your Debit Card information you can make the payment. There will be a hold placed on your drafting Financial Institution’s account. There is a $4.95 service for this payment method. Recurring payment options are available for this payment method.

Steps to Make an Online Loan Payment

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Click Payments
  3. Click Pay From External Account
  4. Enter Your Information, Loan Information, and Payment Information (Ensure you put your full account and loan number. Example: 12345-142)

Note: This is a one-time payment. The payment will NOT recur automatically each time payment is due. The payment will post your loan the following business day if made before 5:00 PM CDT.

Requirements

Remote Deposit Capture

You can always use the Remote Deposit system to make payments.

  • Using your Mobile App, you can take a picture of a check, and submit the check electronically. Once the check is approved you can check back on your account, once the funds are in Savings or Checking, you can simply transfer the funds to the loan needing payment.
  • There is no fee for the usage of this service.
  • Returned Check fees still apply. 

ACH Drafts

Using ACH Drafts you will need to enter any of our branches, to fill and sign an ACH Authorization Draft form.

  • You will need to have the routing and account number for the drafting Financial Institution, once this has been signed and accepted, your ACH Draft will pull on the date setup.
  • Our ACH Drafts currently only draft on the 1st and the 16th of each month.
  • Cancellation is required this payment method. Cancellation form can be mailed, or signed in person.
  • Returned Check fees still apply.

Auto Transfer

You may establish a recurring transfer from your Santa Fe FCU account to your Santa Fe FCU loan.

  • You can call one of our branches and we can set this up for you. You must sign a document for authorization of this service.
  • You can also schedule transfers yourself by logging in to your Online Banking to set up your automatic payment. Click on the transfers tab, then click scheduled transfers button.
  • There is no fee for this service.

In Person

You can always come into the branch and make your payment in person or use one of our drive thru lanes offered at each branch.

  • You can use the payment coupons provided to make payments.
  • Or, you will need your account number or social security number so we may find your account.
  • If sending a non-member to make the payment, please keep in mind the receipt provided will be blacked out to maintain our member’s security.

  • Santa Fe FCU Debit Cards
  • Any type of Credit Cards

What is Loan Pay?

Loan Pay is a service we offer to our members to make their loan payments online using funds from another financial institution. There are two different options:

  • Pay by Debit Card
  • Pay by eCheck - An electronic version of a paper check used to make payments online.

When will my Loan payment be applied to my loan?

Loan payments will be applied on the business day it was received.  The business day cut off for payment processing is 12:00 AM CST.  Payments requests received after 12:00 AM CST will be processed the following business day.  Business days are Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.

Will there be a hold on my account at my other institution? And for how long?

Using a Debit Card to make your loan payment:

  • Yes, there will be a hold on your account at your other institution up to 3 business days.

Using a eCheck to make your loan payment:

  • No holds will be placed on your account at the other institution.

Are there any Fees for this service?

Fees may be charged on top of your scheduled payments. These fees will be disclosed immediately upon you scheduling/making the payment.

  • eCheck: Free
  • Debit Cards: $4.95

However: There is a $25 fee for any loan payment returned by your other financial institution.

Payment Limitations

You may initiate payments up to $3,000.00 per business day per loan using our Electronic Loan Payment Service.  Limitations do apply from your other financial institution.

How do I unsubscribe from email payment reminders?

Click unsubscribe option from hyperlink on monthly email reminder.

How do I unsubscribe from text message payment reminders?

Simply respond "STOP" via text.

What happens if I made a payment by mistake?

In the rare circumstances of the following situations, a refund payment would be necessary.

  • Accidental double payment on loan (Member Error)
  • Holiday Skip-A Payment (Member Error) loan already advanced
  • Loan Extension (Member Error) loan already advanced

Note: The debit card convenience fee of $4.95 cannot be refunded.

Payment loan amount will be credited to members 01 Shares Account here at Santa Fe FCU.
