Q: When can I start using the full services of Santa Fe FCU?

A: Existing Capital Federal Credit Union members will be converted during the first quarter of 2026.

If you would like access to services earlier, you have the option to close your Capital FCU account and open a Santa Fe FCU account. It will be the responsibility of the member to notify all companies currently billing your existing account and have payments moved to your new account at Santa Fe FCU.

We hope to have a Santa Fe FCU branch set up in the Lubbock office in January of 2026 to help facilitate moving accounts for those wanting to convert early.

Q: Will I need new checks?
A: Your existing checks will continue to work. After the "TBD" conversion, we will begin issuing all members using this service new checks with the updated routing number. These checks will be free of charge for the first 150.

Q: Will my direct deposit and other ACH bills change?
A: We will be reviewing all accounts and account numbers. If a change is needed, you will be contacted directly by our staff and given guidance on how to proceed.

Q: Will my debit card change?
A: Your current debit card will continue to work until the conversion.  In the weeks leading up to the conversion, you will receive a new debit card with a new number. This card will include added benefits such as:

  • MoneyPass and Co-Op ATM Network access
  • Debit Card Rewards
  • Ability to lock your card from the Mobile App
  • Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay compatibility

Q: Do the debit cards work outside of the state/country?
A: Santa Fe FCU debit cards can be used in any state and most countries when presented in person. Online transactions are limited to the USA and Mexico. If you plan to travel, please give us a call so we can note your account and alert the fraud department to expect out-of-area charges.
